Local Impact of Proposed Postal Cuts.

Las Vegas – A spokesman for the Postal Service tells KXNT News that for the most part the proposed cutbacks won’t direct affect Las Vegas. The procession center here in Las Vegas which employs five hundred people will remain in operation, and the more than 2-thousand other postal workers here in the valley will keep their jobs….the proposal will close processing facilities in Reno and Tucson. If the proposals go into effect there will be some pain for valley postal service users….the mail will move slower…now it may take three days las vegas to new york…if the cuts are made…it could take four days for that same letter to reach the east coast…
