LAS VEGAS (AP) — Nevada marks the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks this weekend with ceremonies large and small around the state.

Firefighters plan to climb 108 floors up Stratosphere casino tower the tallest casino building in Las Vegas on Sunday morning.

Organizer Mike Mossel says they’ll carry mementoes of the 343 firefighters and paramedics and 60 police officers killed in the collapse of the World Trade Center in New York.

In northern Nevada, Gov. Brian Sandoval plans a moment of silence at the Reno Balloon Festival at Rancho San Rafael Park.

He’ll also lay wreaths at the Law Enforcement Memorial at the Capitol grounds and at the Firefighters Memorial in Mills Park in Carson City.
