LAS VEGAS (AP) — A Las Vegas destination is hosting an Independence Day celebration in September.

Lake Las Vegas was originally scheduled to host its fireworks display honoring the nation in July, but it was cancelled because of a rare bout of rain.

The destination east of the Las Vegas Strip is scheduled to hold a do-over on Sept. 17 at 8:30 p.m.

The free celebration will feature live jazz music and art exhibits.
