LAS VEGAS (AP) — The mayor of Las Vegas is reminding New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie that Sin City does have air conditioning.
Speaking at a news conference Wednesday to introduce the new head of a state agency to revitalize Atlantic City, Christie said people would have to be “stupid” to go to Las Vegas in the summer.
Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn G. Goodman responded by noting that her city has this great thing called air conditioning and said New Jersey’s weather hasn’t exactly been all peaches and cream lately, either. The state was recently hit by Hurricane Irene
In an interview with The Associated Press, she invited Christie to visit Las Vegas, saying, “he won’t have any worries because what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.”
