Voters Turnout for Special Election

(Carson City, NV)  —  Early voting in the upcoming special election indicates a surge in Republican voters.  State officials say
more than 6100 votes in the Second Congressional District were cast Saturday.  The “Review-Journal” says more than half of the votes in Carson and Washoe counties came from registered GOP voters.  In Clark County, 127 people voted on Saturday, of which 43 were Republicans and 69 Democrats.

Republican Mark Amodei and Democrat Kate Marshall are competing to fill the remainder of Senator Dean Heller’s term.
