(Carson City, NV)  —  Nevada businesses did well in June.  The state Taxation Department says taxable sales rose 9% compared to June 2010, reaching $2.6-billion.  Sales in Clark County increased by just over 8%. Thirteen of Nevada’s 17 counties showed an increase in June.  Eateries, bars, car dealers and clothing stores saw increases, but furniture sales were down.
