LAS VEGAS (CBS) – Do you know of a local organization that could use dozens of helping hands for a day? If so, Windermere Real Estate wants to hear from you!
Windermere is seeking a local organization as a partner for its 2011 Community Service Day on Friday, October 21. Nonprofit and philanthropic groups with a pending community service project are encouraged to submit an application to receive a full day of volunteer work from associates employed by Windermere’s two Nevada locations.
Organizations that wish to apply must have a project to be done on Oct 21st and large enough to accommodate 20- 80 volunteers. Windermere will conduct on-site interviews with the finalists and the recipient will be announced early September.
Windermere Real Estate will select a project that best serves the needs of the local community. Finalists will be contacted for a site visit and interview. Past projects include cleaning and landscaping of public parks, playgrounds, schools, emergency shelters and community buildings. Community Service Day past recipients include SafeNest, Jaycee Seniors Community Center, Hinman Elementary School, Whitney Elementary School, Henderson Senior
Center, City of Las Vegas Neighborhood Beautification, Great Unconformity geological site and last year, WestCare’s Stepping Stone wing.
Applications are being accepted now through August 31, 2011 at www.WindermereLasVegas.com.
