Woman Gets 6 To 13 Years For I-15 Hit-And-Run
LAS VEGAS (AP) — A 31-year-old Las Vegas woman who fled after a fatal high-speed crash on Interstate 15 in January has been sentenced to six to 13 years in prison.
District Judge Abbi Silver handed down the sentence Thursday for Natalie Dawn Dubuisson (doo-BWEE’-sohn) after she pleaded guilty in April to reckless driving and leaving the scene of a fatal crash.
The early-morning crash near Blue Diamond Road killed 44-year-old Inaya “Anna” Sabra.
The Nevada Highway Patrol says Dubuisson fled the scene after her car hit a pickup truck from behind, causing it to crash into Sabra’s sport utility vehicle.
A man driving the pickup truck was hospitalized with minor injuries.
Dubuisson surrendered to police weeks later.
A witness told police he saw Dubuisson’s car traveling at 110 mph before the crash.
