(Carson City, NV) — You’ll be seeing more self-service Department of Motor Vehicle kiosks inside supermarkets. The state Board of Examiners has approved a nearly $28-million contract with Intellectual Technology, which will install 40 kiosks at grocery stores over the next two years, most of them in the Vegas Valley. They will allow drivers to renew their vehicle registrations and extend drivers licenses without going to a DMV office. Users will pay between one and three dollars for each kiosk transaction. The machines will take checks, debit and credit cards, but no cash.
