(Las Vegas, NV) — A demolition firm has outlined plans to take down the troubled Harmon Tower at CityCenter. LVI Environmental Services of Nevada has been hired to bring down the 27-story building. The company says it will use the same team that has imploded several Vegas Strip resorts. LVI says it will take six months to prepare for the implosion, and four
months to remove the debris, while protecting any nearby buildings during the process. Clark County building officials ordered MGM Resorts to decide the Harmon Tower’s future, after an engineering firm warned it could collapse in a major earthquake.
