(Las Vegas, NV) — A portion of I-15 damaged by last week’s fuel truck explosion will undergo repairs over the next two weeks.
Starting tonight, three southbound lanes of the freeway near Lake Mead Boulevard will be restricted while crews repave the road and paint new stripes. The work will take place during the overnight hours. Last Wednesday, a truck carrying 9100 gallons of fuel rolled over and exploded on I-15, shutting it down for nearly 12 hours. The work is expected to cost about $118,000, and N-DOT will negotiate with the trucking company for reimbursement.
