Nye County police were tipped off to a marijuana grow house. Detectives discovered 243 pot plants, weighing approximately 160 pounds. Evidence inside led them to the residence of a suspect where they found an additional 1726 marijuana plants, 4 grams of methamphetamine and prescription drugs.
Officials say if the seized plants had been allowed to mature, they would have produced marijuana with an estimated street value of 5.7 million dollars.
