Coroner IDs Vegas Man Killed In Apparent DUI Crash
LAS VEGAS (AP) — The Clark County coroner is identifying a 54-year-old Las Vegas man killed after police say a 29-year-old driver lost control of his Lexus, crossed over a median and drove into oncoming traffic.
Darrell Brian Correia was pronounced dead at the hospital after the cars crashed around 6:15 a.m. Monday in Las Vegas.
Alcibiades (AL’-sih-BY’-uh-dees) Felix of Las Vegas has been booked into the Clark County Detention Center for driving while intoxicated. He is set to appear in court Wednesday.
Police say Felix’s 2008 Lexus sedan was traveling westbound on Flamingo Road near Claymont Street around 6:15 a.m. when he crossed the raised median and struck Correia’s 1995 Chevrolet Geo Metro head-on.
Police are investigating the collision.
