Henderson City Attorney Resigns Amid DUI Arrest
LAS VEGAS (CBS) – Henderson City Attorney Elizabeth Quillin resigned Monday following her arrest in May on drunken driving.
As part of a negotiated settlement with the city, Quillin will receive $99,500 in compensation, plus her accrued vacation time. Her resignation is effective immediately.
At a special meeting Monday, the Henderson City Council had a brief scheduled discussion, and the council quickly accepted her resignation.
Mayor Andy Hafen said the settlement was the financially prudent choice for the city.
