(Las Vegas, NV) — An investigation into sick leave abuse in the Clark County Fire Department is over. A spokesman for the county tells the “Review-Journal” some firefighters will be disciplined. Only two have been terminated, but no others are expected to be fired. The FBI and Metro Police are still investigating whether any of the firefighters accused of using sick time for vacations will face criminal charges. County officials say the much-publicized scandal has led to a sharp reduction in sick leave use among firefighters this year.
