GEORGE NOORY IN LAS VEGAS: Get tickets now -- be there June 9!

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) — A tribal judge in northwestern Arizona has dismissed a lawsuit that sought to force arbitration in a dispute over the Grand Canyon Skywalk.

Hualapai Judge Ida Wilber says she doesn’t have jurisdiction over the case because tribal officials did not waive sovereign immunity in tribal court.

Las Vegas developer David Jin had sued a business arm of the tribe, saying he hasn’t received what he’s owned for his $30 million investment in the Skywalk.

Wilber granted a defense request Tuesday to drop the lawsuit.

Tribal spokesman Dave Cieslak says Jin should stop barraging the Hualapai people.

Jin spokeswoman Aimee Romero says Jin again will take his arguments to federal court, where a judge last month reaffirmed a decision to drop a lawsuit Jin filed without prejudice.
