Court OK’s Testimony in Hepatitis Case
(Las Vegas, NV) — Drug companies will be able to present different theories on how hepatitis C was spread at Southern Nevada
clinics. The Nevada Supreme Court has allowed the testimony as the first of several civil trials related to the 2008 hepatitis outbreak gets underway next week.
Health officials say the disease was spread through reuse of single-use medicine vials, but drug companies claim unsanitary conditions at clinics operated by Depak Desai led to the outbreak.
