Taxable Sales Up in May
(Carson City, NV) — Nevada businesses continue to show signs of recovery. The state Department of Taxation says taxable sales rose nearly 6% in May, to just over $36-billion. Clark County’s taxable sales went up more than 5% in May. Restaurants, car dealers and clothing stores showed increased business, while Nevada’s troubled construction industry saw taxable sales rise more than 248% over May 2010’s numbers.
