Windermere Real Estate Kicks off Search for Most Deserving Non-profit in Las Vegas
One local organization to receive $8K grant for community outreach!
Who: The Windermere Foundation – the charitable foundation established by John Jacobi founder of Windermere Real Estate.
What: Windermere is now soliciting applications from local non-profit organizations to receive the company’s entire 2010 endowment. The selected organization will receive $8,000 to put towards their community outreach efforts. The donation was funded by local Windermere agents who contribute a portion of their sales commissions to the foundation each year.
Organizations that wish to apply must be a registered nonprofit and be committed to helping homeless and low-income families in
Southern Nevada. Windermere will conduct on-site interviews with the finalists and the recipient will be announced early August.
Applications are being accepted now through July 31, 2011

Why: The local effort in Las Vegas is part of a national effort by Windermere Real Estate. Contributions from Windermere agents, employees and the public have allowed the Windermere Foundation to distribute over $2 million annually in recent years to non-profit agencies dedicated to helping homeless and low-income families.
