(Reno, NV) — A federal appeals court has paved the way for the Bureau of Land Management to round up wild horses in
northeast Nevada. The Colorado-based Cloud Foundation lost its bid to stop the horse roundup. The group claimed the gathering was illegal.
The BLM says it will begin rounding up more than 1700 mustangs today, to make sure other horses have enough water and forage. The animals will be sterilized and taken to centers in Reno and Utah for adoption.
