(Las Vegas, NV) —  Several Vegas resorts profited from Southern California’s Carmageddon. With a ten-mile stretch of the 405 freeway closed for renovation, several Sin City casinos had tempting weekend offers for construction-weary Los Angeles drivers.  The Hard Rock Hotel offered two nights with access to a pool cabana and nightclub for $525, a savings of more than 400 bucks.  A
spokeswoman says the hotel was fully booked this weekend.  Another hotel, the M Resort, offered a 30% savings for Californians.
Carmageddon ended yesterday afternoon when the 405 reopened to traffic.
