(Las Vegas, NV)  —  A pair of Southern Nevada wildfires continue to burn.  The Bureau of Land Management says the 45-acre La Madre fire near the 215 Beltway and Summerlin Parkway is at least 60% contained.  But there’s no word on when the blaze will be fully contained. No structures are threatened, and the cause is still unknown.

Meanwhile, crews are still battling a 29-acre fire in an isolated area of the Nevada National Security Site.  Firefighers are battling the flames with air drops.  Officials say lightning sparked that fire and two others that broke out at the test site last week.
