(Las Vegas, NV) — A Metro Police lab technician’s work is now being reviewed. Kristina Paulette was caught covering up a mistake while analyzing DNA evidence. She was fired in May and is fighting her dismissal. Officials are now reviewing Paulette’s work in dozens of criminal cases.
This comes on the heels of last week’s revelation by Sheriff Doug Gillespie that another lab technician’s error with DNA led to the wrongful conviction of Dwayne Jackson. He has agreed to a settlement with the department, and his court records have been sealed.
