Crews continue to make progress on the La Madre Fire. Despite a five acre flare-up Tuesday, crews were successful in their fire suppression efforts. Bureau of Land Management officials say air support was instrumental in minimizing acreage burned.
In an effort to reestablish containment, crews worked through the night building and securing line around fire. Crews will have a long day ahead of them as they work through the day securing fire lines in hopes of preventing another breach. No estimate yet when full containment will be met.
