State gaming revenue grew more than 16% in May, the largest single month increase in Nevada since 2006.  The Las Vegas Strip posted an increase of 28.9%.

The statewide gaming numbers were helped by methods casino regulators use to count slot revenues. April ended on a weekend and revenues generated by slot machine wagering often falls into the following month’s reporting figures.
