(Las Vegas, NV)  —  Despite three separate murders on the Las Vegas Strip, police say tourists can feel safe along the busy corridor.  Metro Captain Todd Fasulo says the recent slayings have been isolated incidents and were sparked by close proximity and alcohol.  Fasulo says more officers will be assigned to congested areas of Las Vegas Boulevard with high pedestrian traffic.

Andre Elena was stabbed to death June 25th on a walkway between the MGM Grand and New York-New York.  This past Monday, Javier Medrano-Padilla was fatally stabbed on a walkway between The Cosmopolitan and Planet Hollywood.

Early yesterday morning, Utah tourist John Allen Massie died after he was beaten at O’Shea’s Casino.  Arrests have been made in all three cases.
