Private services will be held tomorrow for the Nellis Air Force Base pilot who died in a fighter jet crash. Officials have confirmed the pilot was 30-year-old Captain Eric Ziegler of West Fargo, North Dakota. In a statement, his commander at the 422nd Test and Evaluation Squadron described Ziegler as, quote, a special friend, a phenomenal husband and father, and a terrific aviator and officer.” Authorities say Ziegler didn’t eject from his F-16C jet when it crashed Tuesday about 20-miles west of the town of Caliente during a training exercise. The cause of the accident won’t be released until an investigation is completed.
