(Las Vegas, NV) — Despite high unemployment, one Las Vegas resort can’t find enough people to fill 50 jobs. The Silverton hotel advertised several months ago for various positions, including managers and entry-level posts.
So far, no luck. One reason is the resort near I-15 and Blue Diamond Roadhad disqualified those with bad credit or foreclosures. Silverton president Craig Cavileer tells the “Las Vegas Sun” the rules have been relaxed because “everyone has had challenges.” He says the hotel may turn to sites such as Facebook to find workers.
