Ex-NBA Player Admits to Bad Checks
(Las Vegas, NV) — Former pro basketball player Antoine Walker will be sentenced this November for passing a bad check. Attorneys for the 34-year-old athlete entered a guilty plea on his behalf yesterday. As part of a deal with prosecutors, Walker will avoid jail time as long as he repays about $750,000 he owes to three casinos.
Authorities claim Walker failed to pay back markers to Caesars Palace, Planet Hollywood and Red Rock Resort between July 2008 and January 2009. Walker played for four NBA teams over a 13-year period.
