(Fallon, NV) — The search is continuing for more victims in Friday’s deadly northern Nevada train crash. Six people have been confirmed dead and more than 20 others were injured after a big rig struck Amtrak’s California Zephyr about 70 miles east of Reno.
The train was heading to the San Francisco area from Chicago. The “Lahontan Valley Times” says at least five people remain unaccounted for. Investigators with the National Transportation Safety Board will remain at the crash site for at least another week. A report on the cause won’t be released for at least six months.
