(Carson City, NV)  —  A measure extending tax increases that were set to end later this month has been signed into law.  Governor Brian Sandoval had vowed not to renew the hikes on sales, payroll and car registration taxes approved in 2009.  But that changed last month when the Nevada Supreme Court ruled the state could not take money from local governments to balance the budget.  That forced Sandoval and Republican lawmakers to vote with Democrats and extend the tax hikes.
