(Carson City, NV)  —  The Senate approved a bill this weekend that would allow concealed weapons on Nevada college and university campuses.  Supporters say Senate Bill 231 would allow people to protect themselves from harm, but opponents claim it will not improve safety.

Under current law, no one can bring a concealed weapon on campus without permission from the university or college president.  The measure must still be approved by the Assembly.

Nevada needs this bill to pass College students who are qualified and licensed to carry a concealed firearm deserve no less personal protection that others do off campus. The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed!
