CCSD Superintendent Unveils Reform Plan

(Las Vegas,NV)  —  Clark County Superintendent Dwight Jones has unveiled a reform plan for local schools.  It calls for teacher pay to be tied to performance, and allow private charter schools to take over low-performing public schools.   Area superintendents would be eliminated, and principals whose schools do well in student achievement would get more independence.

The school board will discuss Jones’ proposals at a future meeting.
