KSNV-TV Anchor Suing Station for Discrimination
LAS VEGAS (CBS) – KSNV-TV anchor Sue Manteris is suing the station due to allegations of discrimination.
The federal lawsuit was filed today, and claims Manteris was discriminated against because of her race and age. Manteris has been an anchor for the station since 1989. According to lawsuit documents, Manteris is an Asian woman in her 40s.
The lawsuit names several defendants, including KSNV-TV’s Vice President/General Manager, the News Director, Valley Broadcasting Company and Sunbelt Communications.
Manteris’ contract is scheduled to expire June 10, and surprisingly enough, is not being renewed.
