KXNT has confirmed that UNLV basketball player Chace Stanback was arrested and charged with driving under the influence in Las Vegas.  Stanback was reportedly stopped for speeding early Friday morning near Swenson Street and Colby Avenue.  He was booked into the Clark County Detention Center and is due in court August 11th.

The school, through head coach Dave Rice and spokesman Andy Grossman, only confirmed that there was an “incident” involving Stanback that was under investigation.

Stanback, a 6-8 forward who will be a senior next season, is the Rebels’ leading returning scorer and rebounder.  He has started for the past two seasons at UNLV after transferring from UCLA in 2008.

It’s a good thing he doesn’t work for chanel 13. Hope he gets the help he needs regardless if he ever plays again for UNLV or not.
