LAS VEGAS – New possibilities are opening up for job seekers in southern Nevada as Casino Montelago prepares to re-open at Lake Las Vegas. The opening is at the end of the month, but the job fair for employees is going on Monday.
Casino Montelago is looking to fill 100 positions over the next three days, and in this tough economy, lots of people showed up bright and early to fill out applications hoping to land a job very soon.
The property is doing on-the-spot interviews this week on site, and sources say they hope to have all the staff hired and trained when they open Memorial Day weekend. Job seekers said it’s still tough out there and need all the help they can get.
Casino Montelago is reopening after being shut down for more than a year. It will be the only gaming site in Lake Las Vegas.
Executives say they are encouraged with the opening of Ravella a few months ago and the changing demographics of this area — where more locals are moving in — that they will be successful.
If you want to apply, you can come in person from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. now through Wednesday, May 11th.
