Spirit Starts LAX-LAS Service With $9 Fares

FLORIDA – Spirit Airlines today started five daily non-stop flights between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. To celebrate, Spirit is offering $9 fares (each way based on round trip purchase) available May 5th and May 6th only at http://www.spirit.com. In addition, Spirit is offering $19 fares (each way based on round trip purchase) for reservations booked by May 26, 2011, for travel May 26 – October 31, 2011.

“McCarran International Airport is pleased that Spirit Airlines has reinforced its commitment to Las Vegas,” said Randall H. Walker, director of the Clark County Department of Aviation.

“Los Angeles is the third new market Spirit has added since fall 2010. Coupled with its recent additions to Chicago and Dallas/Fort Worth, Spirit’s growth gives more than 45,000 additional travelers the opportunity to fly to McCarran each month.”

“We greatly welcome the start of Spirit Airlines’ new service to Las Vegas, which is sure to be welcomed by air travelers looking for more service options and great value in today’s economic environment,” said Gina Marie Lindsey, executive director of Los Angeles World Airports, owner and operator of LAX, LA/Ontario International and Van Nuys (general aviation) airports.
