(Carson City, NV) — The Nevada Supreme Court will decide later this year whether to overturn a portion of the state’s Clean Indoor Air Act. Yesterday, justices heard arguments from the company that owns Bilbo’s Bar and Grill.
The firm’s attorney claims a rule that bans ashtrays and match books from non-smoking areas violates free speech. The Southern Nevada Health District contends ashtrays and matches encourages smoking.
Voters approved the law in 2006, which bars smoking in most public areas.
