Nevada lawmakers face another big deadline and marathon floor sessions when the 12th week of the Nevada Legislature begins Monday.
On Tuesday, all non-budget bills not otherwise exempt must pass out of their house of origin or they will die. Both the Senate and Assembly held long floor sessions on Friday to try to whittle away at the hundreds of bills awaiting action.
On Monday night, Rep. Joe Heck, elected to the House of Representatives in November, will address a joint session of the Legislature.
Money committees continue budget closings throughout the week as lawmakers work toward June 6, when the regular legislative session must adjourn.
