LAS VEGAS Clark County Fire and Rescue continues to investigate a brush fire that sparked Saturday near Sam Boyd Stadium.

Fire officials say the fire broke out around 4 p.m. and burned more than 87 acres. Thick, dark smoke from the flames could be seen for miles.

Clark County Fire Department officials have confirmed the fire is now fully contained.

Officials are still trying to determine the cause of the blaze at this time.

    Thank you Clark County Fire Department for keeping us safe. We live off of Russell road and Mountain Vista and have large black ash all over our property. Its about 9:30pm and the smell of smoke is still in the air.
