(Las Vegas, NV)  —  Transportation officials say a new interstate highway is vital to Las Vegas’ future.  Several experts have urged the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority to push for development of the proposed Interstate 11, which would link Southern Arizona with the Pacific Northwest through Vegas and Reno.

Officials say it would help move more goods and services, and provide a direct tourism link from Phoenix to Las Vegas.  They also called for more highway projects to ease traffic on the route from Vegas to Los Angeles.
