LAS VEGAS - UNLV’s athletic director revealed his four top candidates to replace coach Lon Kruger.
Athletic director Jim Livengood said he hasn’t formally interviewed anyone for the job yet, but he has talked with former Rebel and BYU assistant director Dave Rice.
The second candidate is Reggie Theus who is scheduled to meet with Livengood on Thursday.
The third candidate appears to be Mike Dunlap who is now the lead assistant at St. John’s University. He was in the running for the Fresno State job but took his name out of the running on Tuesday.
The fourth name mentioned is former Oregon head Coach Ernie Kent. He was the head coach when the Ducks beat the Rebels in the Sweet 16.
