More than a hundred Clark County schools would see different bell times under a proposal to be considered next week. The plan calls for staggered times for the beginning and end of the school day, allowing the district to eliminate about 125 bus drivers and save up to ten-million dollars. It’s one idea being considered to deal with a school-funding shortfall of at least 250-million dollars. Board members will debate the plan April 6th.
