Person Shot At Bank In Southeast Vegas

LAS VEGAS – A bold bandit who robbed a man at gunpoint as he entered the Wells Fargo bank at Eastern Avenue and Sunset Road remains on the loose, while his victim clings to life at University Medical Center, after being shot in the abdomen.

The suspect, described by police as a white or mixed-race male, about 5′ 8″ tall and 150-160 lbs, fled the area in a white Dodge Stratus driven by another person.  That vehicle was later recovered a short distance away near the intersection of Patrick Lane and McLeod Drive.  Investigators combed the car for evidence, hoping it will point to the suspects.

Police say it’s unknown how much money the robbers may have stolen.  Surveillance video is being reviewed and the ownership of the car has been checked to get more clues.
