(Las Vegas, NV) — Scientists say there is no health risk to Vegas Valley residents from a Japanese nuclear power plant. The Desert Research Institute installed air samplers at its 29 local stations last week, to measure the release of materials from the damaged Fukushima nuclear plant.
According to the DRI’s website, initial results found concentrations of various radiological materials to be “very low,” and “do not represent a public health hazard.”
