Early Voter Turnout “High”
(Las Vegas, NV) — Early voting numbers for Las Vegas’ municipal elections are reaching levels last seen in 1999. Just over 5900 early ballots have been cast in the first six days of early voting, and turnout could match the 50,000 mark set when Oscar Goodman was first elected mayor eleven years ago.
Eighteen mayoral candidates are on the ballot this year, including Goodman’s wife, Carolyn, county commissioners Larry Brown and Chris Giunchigliani and city councilman Steve Ross.
The primary election is April 5th.
