(Las Vegas, NV)  —  About a thousand Culinary Union members marched along the streets of Las Vegas yesterday in favor of organizing workers at Station Casinos.  Metro Police say one hundred people were arrested and released for blocking an entrance to Palace Station.

The union members and supporters walked from the Culinary headquarters to the West Sahara Avenue resort.  A similar show of support took place last month with nearly two dozen arrests.  Culinary officials have been unsuccessful in trying to unionize Station’s 15-thousand employees.

  1. Don says:

If the unions want a unionized hotel/casion, they should buy, build, and operate their own… call it… hmmm…. The Union Hotel Casino… yea, that’s it. Then they could pay their workers union wages OR even MORE.. think about you union guys and gals .. You could make great wages, incredible benefits, short work hours…. Bottom line: Grow some balls and use YOUR money to invest in a business instead of trying to ‘take over’ a company via organizing and strikes.
