CCSD Could Sue State

(Las Vegas, NV)  —  Facing a budget shortfall of at least 250-million-dollars next fiscal year, Clark County School Board President Carolyn Edwards has proposed suing the state for not properly funding education.  Governor Brian Sandoval’s proposed budget includes a nine-percent cut in public school funding for the next two years.  But any suit would have to be filed by outside groups.

Superintendent Dwight Jones will present a budget plan next week, which could include a ban on energy-hogging personal refrigerators from classrooms.
