Most big-name cell phone carriers in the U.S. are offering free calls and texts to Japan. AT&T and T-Mobile are making good on the offer through the end of March. Verizon and Sprint are holding the deal until April 10th. Carriers want their customers to be able to get in touch with friends and family after last week’s massive quake and tsunami. AT&T landline customers can also get reimbursed for any charges from international calls to Japan.
