(Las Vegas, NV) — Job creation is the top issue among Las Vegans in the upcoming municipal elections. That’s according a new “Review-Journal/KLAS-TV” poll of more than 600 city voters.
Just over half believe the next mayor and city council should focus on bringing new jobs to Vegas. Nearly one out of four voters think the city should concentrate on cutting expenses. Far behind are efforts to help homeowners facing foreclosures and cutting city salaries and benefits.
Most of the major candidates for mayor have stressed jobs in their campaigns, and support efforts to make it easier for businesses to set up shop in Vegas.
